bitchat is a decentralized peer-to-peer messaging app that forms Bluetooth Low Energy mesh networks between nearby phones, with end-to-end encryption and no accounts or phone numbers, released into the public domain. It is on the iOS App Store and Google Play, with a native macOS build in the same Swift codebase. Jack Dorsey said he vibe-coded it over a weekend with Block's open-source Goose coding agent.
